About Aragon

Wing Liang founded the company in 1991, a relatively new watchmaking company founded with the vision of making watches that would satisfy all user preferences at an affordable price tag. His mission is to create watches that meet elements of aesthetics and accessibility.

Wing Liang, Chief Designer and CEO of ARAGON, has always been eager to meet the expectations of watch lovers. Has a unique talent for crafting visually and aesthetically stunning timepieces.

Why Manual Winding for Aragon Watches?

The most common reason for Aragon watches to be hand wound is so that you can set the time accurately with it, this saves you from having to reset the watch as often, it also means that the watch will always be accurate and reliable.
Winding a watch is a complex endeavor, but for many watch lovers, it is one of the joys of interacting with a watch.

Aragon Watch Manual Winding Steps

- Locate the crown which is usually on the right side of the dial.
- Gently pull the crown away from the dial to its original position, being careful not to pull it too far.
- Begin winding the crown clockwise until resistance is felt, or 25-30 revolutions at a time.
- Push the crown back into its normal position.
- Pull the crown out again and turn the crown to set hands until the hands show the current time and date.
- Push it back again when done.

Automatic watches should not be overwound. Automatic watches or self-winding watches depend on the movement of your arm to operate.For manual winding, the process is simple and you will find that winding your Aragon gives you a few minutes of peace every day!

Aragon Watch the Winder Setting

Most Aragon watch automatic movements can be wound properly with most watch winder boxes. Usually, Aragon's self-winding movement needs to rotate 650-950 revolutions per day, and most of them can be wound clockwise.

Below are some of the most popular Aragon models and their winding settings.

Definitions:

《CW》 - Clockwise winding direction;
《CCW》 - Counterclockwise winding direction;

If you cannot find your watch model (or movement) in this watch, you can try to determine your Aragon winding mode. You should choose the combined winding mode (CW+CCW) and minimum turns per day (TPD). Then put your watch into the watch winder and check the accuracy of your watch display time after a few days. If you run behind, you need to increase the number of TPD by one level.

Aragon Watch Time Adjustment Method

Set Time:

1) Unscrew the crown, pull it out to the third gear, and adjust to the correct time display.
2) Push the crown back to the first position for normal operation. Unscrew the crown to secure.

Set the Day of the Week:

1) Unscrew the crown, pull out to position 2, and adjust until the correct day of the week is displayed. Turn the crown in opposite direction to set the date.
2) Push the crown back to the first position for normal operation. Unscrew the crown to secure.

Set Date:

1) Unscrew the crown, pull out to position 2 and adjust to display the correct date. Twist the crown on the opposite side
Sets the direction of the date.
2) Push the crown back to the first position for normal operation. Unscrew the crown to secure.

Mechanical watches must be wound every day to ensure accurate timekeeping. Avoid setting days/dates between 9 pm. The 3 AM time is most sensitive to wheels and gears.

Can I Always Wind my Watch Manually With the Crown?

It’s okay to do this once in a while, but not too often—especially if your watch has a screw-down crown.
Firstly, with crown winding, the gears and other parts of an automatic movement will wear out faster, as will the screw-in crown system, as it is not designed for frequent use. Self-winding watches should be worn for at least eight hours a day to make the most of their power reserves, so rather than letting your automatic watch's power reserve drain, invest in a simple automatic watch winder.
